What Are These Auto Insurance Coverages Anyway? Video 1 of 5
You have auto insurance on your car. You pay it every month. But do you really know what you are getting coverage for?
Auto policies come in all sizes and limits but in some ways they are all created equal if you read the language.
The most common and mandatory coverage are the liability limits: Bodily Injury Liability/Accident Liability/Property Liability and they will be followed up by $ limits associated with them. These are the limits that cover OTHERS, not yourself. You may have the state minimum (in CT it is $25,000 per person/$50,000 per accident/$25,000 for property) or you are a Rockstar and have higher limits to protect yourself and others at $100,000/$300,000 or even better at $250,000/$500,000.
