Baby, It’s cold outside!!! Winter Pipe Protection Tips

Happy Winter All!

I am not sure about the rest of you but today is the first real day I have felt the cold this winter of 2016. Luckily the sun is shining but the winds make this 27 degrees all the more
frigid.

Hopefully some of you have some warm vacations planned! So that you can go away with peace of mind, knowing your home is safe and sound,  here are some tips from Union Mutual and news Channel Fox25 WFXT

*Let the water drip from the faucet served by exposed pipes, doesn’t have to be strong, this can help prevent pipes from freezing.

*Open your kitchen or bathroom cabinets to allow warm air to circulate around the plumbing.

*Keep the thermostat set to the same temperature during the day and night.

*Leave the heat on no lower than 55 degrees although I would say 60.
