I’m not sure about you but Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year in New England. There is so much to do, see, taste and experience that it is hard to fit it all in those glorious 2.5 months of Autumn.

But that won’t stop us from trying! I have picked a few of our local places right here in Connecticut to go visit on your weekends. 

Ekonk Hill Turkey Farm located in Moosup, CT this place is a gem. If you are in the mood for a walk through a corn maze with an ice cream waiting at the end of your trip, this is your place. But if you would rather take a hayride instead-go for it! 

Lyman Orchards in Middlefield, CT boasts some of the best apple picking in Connecticut. They also have a delightful store full of homemade jams, breads, syrups and other goodies you can’t miss.

Harris Hill Farm in New Milford, CT has cute barn animals for the kiddies to pet as they search through the pumpkin patch for the perfect jack-o-lantern to be.

Jones Family Farm in Shelton, CT has fun for kids and adults alike. Kids can hunt down pumpkins and the adults can try the local wine from the Jones’ vineyards.
